Bonsai Techniques
Talk about pruining, shape, wiring and advanced techniques like deadwood, Jin and Shari here.

Finished watching this video by Herons Bonsai and wanted to share it here. The amount of material Mr. Chan has to work with is amazing. Mr. Chan drops a lot of great tips in this video specifically working with Japanese Maples. One really struck me and that had to do with wiring maples in the "S" shape pattern to create an informal upright. I really liked the info on which branches to keep and which to remove, in the end, I guess I just liked the advice and look it created when training and cutting Japanese Maples in this way. Hope you enjoy the video!
